Field Work / Research Assignments:

  • 2/8-13/8/2010: Site classification of European forests (covered topics: soil, climate, flora and vegetation). Field practicum in Taxiarchis, Greece co-organized by the Institute of Silviculture, Albert Ludwigs University, Freiburg, Laboratory of Forest Botany-Geobotany, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Faculty of Silviculture and Forest Engineering, Transilvania University of Brașov.
  • 2011 – 2012: Programme for the promotion of the exchange and scientific coorperation between Greece and Germany. Programme IKYDA 2011. Title of joint project: Towards quantitative vegetation reconstructions in Greece.

  • 16/2-31/5/2012: Student assistant employee in Palynologie und Klimadynamik, Albrecht-V.-Haller Institut für Pflanzenwissenschaften, Georg-August Universität, Coordinator: Dr. Sonia Fontana.

  • 1/1-31/5/2013: Participation in the Research Project “Investigation of vegetation history of Mt. Ainos”. Work duties: Sampling and analysis of sediment cores, microscopical pollen identification, funded by: Management Body of National Park of Mt. Ainos.

  • 1/6-31/6/2014: Participation in the drilling campaign of the CRC 806, Project B2, at Mohoş peat bog (Romania). Additional tasks: vegetation mapping, vegetation sampling, moss polsters sampling.
