During the 48th AGU (American Geophysical Union) Fall Meeting, the major Earth and space science meeting in the world held in San Francisco 14–18 December 2015 with nearly 24,000 participants, we presented our CRC 806 at the DFG stand during one day with flyers, a presentation and a clip on the Tibesti fieldwork. Much attractive were our gimmicks: compasses and key chains with CRC 806 “Our Way to Europe” engravings.
We had interesting discussions about PhD and postdoc positions, our organisational structures and of course our scientific results, and got a lot of positive feedbacks. We would like to thank the DFG once again for offering us the participation at their largest ever “Research in Germany” booth.
