Trine Kellberg Nielsen is a researcher in the C1 project "Settlement Patterns and Climate Change in the Late Pleistocene of the Western Mediterranean". Her research focuses on regional variation in hominin mobility and adaptation in the Iberian Peninsula and northern Africa during the last 70.000 years. She is field responsible for the excavation at the site of Cueva Ardales, Andalusia, Spain.
Trine recieved her PhD at Aarhus University, Denmark, in 2016 where she studied the Pleistocene of Scandinavia and the northern distribution of Neanderthals. She holds a master in Palaeolithic Archaeology obtained at Leiden University, the Netherlands, and a bachelor in Anthropology from Aarhus University, Denmark.
Special interests include: Neanderthals, mobility, dispersal, landscape use, adapation, environmental niches, climate.
