Information
The T project group assemble the lab-oriented groups who are concerned with radiometric dating (3 projects, former F cluster). Each will follow their own research aims, and the T-projects will also fulfill service functions as they are responsible of OSL/TL, 14C and palaeomagnetic measurements within the CRC.
The T-group projects build on three lab facilities, which have now reached full working capacity. The CRC 806 has, from 2009 onwards, essentially contributed to the enhancement of OSL/TL facilities at Cologne, further enabled the establishment of the 14C sample preparation lab (connected to the new Cologne AMS) and played a trigger role in re-establishing the PalaeoMagLab which took up its full capacity during the second CRC phase. Consequently, basic methodological research in each lab will be particularly accomplished by future collaboration of the labs in combined age models of the principal chronological archives of the CRC, such as limnic, terrestrial and archaeological sequences.
