This special issue published by "Quaternary International" presents first results of the CRC 806 (Our Way to Europe). Aim of the CRC funded since July 2009 by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft is to capture the complex nature of chronology, regional structure, climatic, environmental and socio-cultural contexts of major intercontinental and transcontinental events of dispersal of Modern Man from Africa to Western Eurasia, and particularly to Europe.
In total, this comprehensive publication compiles 19 contributions with altogether 83 authors.
